Artist Grant Now Open
The Cultural Alliance of York County Opens New Artist Professional Development Grant
York, PA – Applications are now open for the 2020 Cultural Alliance Artist Professional Development Grant. The grant will provide artists that reside in York County, PA with up to $2,500 for professional development activities which will strengthen their skills as an artist, reach new audiences with their work, and ultimately move the needle in their career. Funded in partnership with the Charlotte R. Langione Fund and the Walter B. Loucks-Michael Alan Bose Arts Fund of the York County Community Foundation, the artist Professional Development Grant will be awarded quarterly, beginning in January 2020.
“After engaging with artists through our listening project over the last year, it’s clear that we can do more to contribute to the prosperity of the artists in our community” says Rita Whitney, Director of Engagement and Communications at the Cultural Alliance. “We also know that there is immense value in investing in the individual development of these artists so that they in turn continue to make York County a culturally rich and relevant place to live and work.”
In addition to the Artist Professional Development Grant, the Cultural Alliance will also launch an Innovative Artist Award in August of 2020, as well as new streams of funding for arts and culture organizations in the county to receive operational support.
