Cultural Alliance Announces Finalists for the First-Ever Artist Innovator Award

York, PA – The Cultural Alliance of York County is pleased to announce 7 finalists for the firstever Artist Innovator Award.  A single award winner will be chosen from the finalists to receive an unrestricted cash award of $10,000.  The community is invited to the public announcement of the winner at an outdoor event on October 23rd at Dreamwrights Community Theater at 6:00pm.

The  finalists are:

Artists working in any medium and whom live in York County were invited to create a profile of their work on the arts and culture website, York365.com.  Profiles created by the deadline on August 31st were scored by peer reviewers from around the country, and a panel comprised of 3 different, multidisciplinary jurors will choose a single awardee from the finalists.

Founded as a United Arts Fund in 1999, the Cultural Alliance’s annual campaign currently powers arts organizations and artists that are essential to arts and culture in our community and over the last 20 years has invested over $10.4 million in cash and $2.2 million in in-kind support for the arts.   Under its new more inclusive and diverse operating model, The Cultural Alliance will be expanding its funding to further grow and strengthen arts and culture in York County.
