The Cultural Alliance of York County will once again host the 2022-23 regional finals for Poetry Out Loud (virtually in late January). All high school students in Adams, Franklin, Fulton and York counties are eligible to participate in this national recitation contest. Each participating school will send their winner to our regional contest. Our regional winner will virtually join 14 other regional winners at the state finals. The PA state competition will be held virtually with the winner being announced on March 13, 2023. The national competition will be May 8 – 10, 2023 in Washington DC.
Poetry Out Loud is a partnership between the Pennsylvania Council of the Arts (PCA), and the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA). Poetry Out Loud is free and provides standards-based curriculum materials to schools, teachers, and students.
