The Cultural Alliance Awards Grants to Artists in York County to Move the Needle in their Career

York, PA – The Cultural Alliance of York County is pleased to announce the most recent recipients of the Artist Professional Development Grant. Beginning in 2020, this grant provides resources to individual artists in York County to do the work they are passionate about, so that they can move their professional career forward. 

The recipients of the Artist Professional Development Grant in the 3rd Quarter of 2021 are:

  • Jean Gralley – For resources to complete the “dummy” copy of her first graphic novel, “THE GOTHS OF YORK”.
  • Steph Holmes – For equipment necessary to launch her online store as well as hire a creative business consultant.
  • Kayode Malomo – tFor production and promotion of his first solo show since moving to York, PA entitled “An Exciting Journey to York”.
  • Debbie Mancuso – For the purchase of a replica of Patrick Green’s Triple Swing Wool Picker to improve the processing time of wool in her fiber arts work.

These artists join the list of 16 artists to receive an Artist Professional Development Grant since 2020.  A full list of awardees including their websites and contact information can be found at www.culturalyork.org. Grant applications for the next quarter are due September 3, 2021.

The Artist Professional Development Grant is open to artists living in York County who have a desire to take a new step in their career and is funded in partnership with the Charlotte R. Langione and Walter B. Loucks-Michael Alan Bose Funds of the York County Community Foundation.  You can learn more about the York County Community Foundation at www.yccf.org.
