Lasting Impact Through Charitable Giving

Arts Forever Legacy Society

The Arts Forever Legacy Society provides a way to recognize and thank donors for including CAYC in their will or estate planning. The society ensures arts and culture will continue to be a positive force in our community for current and future generations.

How It Works
A statement of intent to leave a gift to the Cultural Alliance of York County is required. Letter of intent can be mailed to:

Donor Advised Fund (DAF)

Donor-Advised Fund (DAF) is an easy, tax-efficient way to give to the Cultural Alliance of York County. With a few simple steps, you can recommend a gift from your DAF and help ensure arts, culture, and creativity continue to thrive in York County. Read more about Donor Advised Funds here.

How It Works
1. Set up your Donor Advised Fund through your financial institution or community foundation such as the York County Community Foundation.

2. Recommend a grant to the Cultural Alliance of York County from your fund.

3. Your gift supports our mission, strengthening arts organizations and expanding access to creativity across York County.

The Cultural Alliance Development Director is available to help walk you through this process.

Chartiable Gift Annuity (CGA)

Charitable Gift Annuity (CGA) is a meaningful way to support the Cultural Alliance York County while also providing you or a loved one with guaranteed income for life. With a CGA, you enjoy steady payments and valuable tax benefits. Learn more about Charitable Gift Annuities here.

How It Works
1. You make a gift of cash or appreciated securities to the CAYC.

2. We establish your annuity agreement, locking in fixed annual payments to your (or a beneficiary you designate) for life.

3. You enjoy income for life, knowing your gift also strengthens York County’s creative future.

 

Qualified Charitable Distribution

If you are age 70 1/2 older, you can make a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) directly from your Individual Retirement Account to the CAYC. This special giving option allows you to support the arts you love while reducing your taxable income.

How It Works
1. You instruct your IRA custodian to make a direct transfer from your IRA to the CAYC.

2. Your gift counts toward your Requirement Minimum Distribution if you are age 73 or older.

3. You make exclude the amount donated: up to $100,000 annually, for your taxable income.
